A Review of the RT 100 Tuner.
Setting up the RT 100
Hi All, I have posted some pictures here of the new LDG Remote Antenna Tuner, set up as the center insulator on an inverted V Dipole.
We put this up at one of our member's shack today and initial testing showed that it works really well on 80,40, 20 and 10 meters.
The nice thing about this tuner is that you do not have to run wires to power or control it. The power is supplied thru the coax and when the tuner see's RF from the radio, the tuner just automatically tunes for you. No more turning knobs or pushing buttons to tune your antenna- IT JUST HAPPENS AUTOMATICALLY!
AND, by having the tuner at the antenna you do not have the big loss you would normally have in your coax due to the high SWR mismatch all the way from your antenna to the tuner which is normally located in the shack at the radio.
We are planning more reviews of this tuner on other antennas soon,
such as Carolina Windom and maybe a Vertical.
